Steps to Play

1. All players ante an agreed amount into the pot.
2. Dealer deals 5 cards face down to each player.
3. First betting round begins.
4. Starting left of dealer, each active player may exchange 1 to 3 cards with the dealer (or stand pat).
5. Second betting round begins after the draw phase.
6. Remaining players reveal hands; best 5-card poker hand wins the pot.

How to Win

Make the best standard 5-card poker hand at showdown, or win by betting when all opponents fold.

Tips & House Rules

• Pat hands (no draw) often indicate strength, but can also be a bluff.
• Track how many cards each opponent draws to estimate hand ranges.
• Agree before play whether exchanging 4 or 5 cards is allowed for specific cases.
