Blackjack - First Natural Ends the Game
Also known as: First Natural Blackjack, Blackjack Sprint
Pass-the-deal blackjack variant where each hand is played against the dealer/house, but the session objective is to be the first player to hit a natural blackjack.
Steps to Play
- Choose a dealer (house) for the session and agree betting limits and payout rules before starting.
- At the start of each hand, each player places a wager against the dealer.
- Dealer gives two cards to each player and two cards to themselves (one up, one down), using standard blackjack dealing.
- If any player has a natural blackjack on the initial two cards, reveal immediately: that player wins the overall game and the session ends.
- If no player has a natural blackjack, resolve the hand with normal blackjack actions (hit, stand, optional doubles/splits per house rules), then pay/collect wagers.
- Start the next hand and repeat until a player hits a natural blackjack.
How to Win
The overall game ends immediately when any player is dealt a natural blackjack (Ace + 10-value card on the initial two cards). That player is declared the overall winner.
Tips & House Rules
- To keep the game moving, limit side options (for example, no insurance) unless everyone wants full casino rules.
- Clarify whether dealer blackjack on the initial deal ends only that hand or the whole session (common choice: only a player natural ends the session).
- Use a shoe or frequent reshuffle to keep rounds fast and fair for larger groups.
